A Rose Is A Rose, Unless It's Victorian!

As the year progresses, the projects coming through the shop are as well. We've been evolving into a custom design shop. Every project is my favorite project and I'm impatient every time to share them with you. This one is no exception!

A Victorian Rose, 1880's natural form ensemble.

The lovely belle rose you see here picked out her fabrics. The hat, bodice, bustled over skirt and long walking under skirt were all custom designed. The hat includes hand sewn roses, using the remnants of the ensemble fabrics, for that perfect match. The bodice sleeve ends are capped with red and gold pleated edging as is the over skirt. The long pleats on the walking skirt with narrow gold pleated trim is one of my favorite elements.

Doesn't she look gorgeous!!!
