Lace making is an art form used to create open work trims, accents, handkerchiefs, tablecloths and much, much more. The techniques originated in the 16th century in Europe, as needle lace and bobbin lace were birthed simultaneously.
This bobbin lace, bolster style pillow is hand stuffed with clean natural straw, covered in two layers, one heavy weight cotton canvas and the outer layer of black linen, to create a firm foundation to work upon. It is approximately 20 inches long by 9 inches wide, with a diameter of 28 inches, giving you plenty of working room for in the round projects.
The pincushion, bobbins and stand are not included. The stand can be made upon request; please message us for details. Our pincushions are available in a separate listing. We do not turn bobbins at this time, but are hoping to offer them in the future, so check back in later.
